School History

On 2 September 1984, Bedok West Primary School (formerly known as Kaki Bukit Primary School) moved to its campus at 50 Bedok Reservoir Crescent. The school was officially opened on 16 July 1986.

Bedok West Primary School functioned as a single-session school until 1995 when it moved to double-session, following increasing demand for enrolment.

In 2015, Bedok West Primary School merged with Damai Primary School, and adopted the name of the latter. The school continued to operate at Damai Primary School’s compound.

The shield represents excellence in the students’ work, while the torch represents the desire for continual learning. The book signifies the acquisition of knowledge, and the paintbrush stands for a focus on the arts for gracious living. The figures represent mass participation in physical education, sports and games for physical, emotional and social development. The five rings symbolise unity and harmony among members of the school and the community.
