Delta Secondary School was established in 1991 from a merger between Tiong Bahru Secondary School and Bukit Ho Swee Secondary School.
In 2004, Delta Secondary School merged with Bukit Merah Secondary School.

School Crest
The Chinese characters in the middle of the crest read “德才” (from right to left: de cai), the Chinese name for Delta Secondary School. Underscoring the crest is the school motto, “Towards Knowledge And Virtue”.
