Recognised as the school’s Applied Learning Programme in 2014, Nature Based Education serves as a platform for students to learn more about their role in the environment around them.

The school’s Learning for Life Programme on Creative Arts Education, allows students to experience various forms of Arts. It also focuses on developing students' creative and critical thinking.

To celebrate 25 years of caring and inspiring in Loyang Primary, Loyang Eagle [Top], the school mascot, was launched and Vanda Loyang Primary [Bottom] was specially commissioned (2015).

Students may have come from diverse backgrounds, but their differences do not stop them from studying and playing harmoniously together. They truly embody the spirit of “Unity in Diversity”.

School History

Loyang Primary School was established in 1991 as a government co-educational school at 3 Pasir Ris Drive 6. It was the first primary school in Pasir Ris. The school was officially opened on 4 September 1992. In 2015, the school celebrated its 25th anniversary. Loyang Primary School was accorded the Applied Learning Programme in ‘Nature-Based Education, and Learning for Life Programme in Creative-Arts Education’.

In 2019, Loyang Primary School merged with Casuarina Primary School. The merged school became known as Casuarina Primary School and operates from the site of Casuarina Primary School.

School Crest

The initials ‘LPS’ are merged to represent unity. The letters form a broad base that symbolises the firm foundation in education provided by the school. The stem of the letter ‘P’ signifies growth and development, while the circular portion reflects a rounded education. The colours navy blue and peach represent the sea of knowledge and the everlasting quest for success.
