School History
Min Xin Primary School was established in 1982 at Bedok North Street 3. The school was originally named Bin Sin Chinese School that was set up in the early 1960s by a group of Chinese businessmen to promote Chinese education in Singapore.
In 1992, Min Xin Primary School participated in the Sing Singapore Competition and entered the finals, winning the Merit Award.
In 2003, Min Xin Primary School merged with Yu Neng Primary School.

School Crest

The crest is made up of a stylised design based on the school’s Chinese name, “Min Xin” (民新). Encircling the Chinese name is the Malay name of the school, Sekolah Rendah Min Xin. The school’s English name lies on an open book, which represents knowledge. Underscoring the crest is the school motto, “Success Through Perseverance”.
