School Crest

The crest is a distinctive graphic of a fountain, which symbolises the never-ending source of knowledge as well as the youthful exuberance and vitality of the school. Rising straight into the air are three jets of water, each representing an important aspect of educational development, namely moral, mental and physical. Together they focus on the total development of the child – character, mind and body. The jets rise from different points, symbolic of the varying needs and capabilities of the pupils. This underlines the philosophy of the school, which is to develop each and every child to his fullest potential.
The logo is set in red and blue, signifying oneness and serenity. The white background expresses purity of thought and deed.
The logo also takes the form of the school initial M. It is the symbol of the school’s aspiration – moving towards greater achievements and constantly mindful of its responsibilities towards the nation. From this is derived the school motto: “Mindful and Steadfast”.

Let us in Moulmein Primary School
Be mindful and steadfast
Praise the beauty that surrounds us
The teachers who care and inspire us
In the classroom, on the field
We work and play as a team
Caring, caring
Growing as one big family.
We must excel
We want to excel
That we may serve our nation willing
Together we march
Together we march
Forward and onward
We’ll never rest
Till we’ve made Moulmein Primary School the best.
