School History
Ping Yi Primary School was officially declared open on 29 July 1983. Located at Bedok North Road, the school was formerly known as Pin Ghee Public School.
In 1996, the school set up an air-conditioned computer laboratory for students’ use. In January 1997, Ping Yi Primary implemented the Learning Support Programme (LSP), which focused on helping primary one students overcome their learning difficulties, as well as the Underachievers’ Programme, which helped students who were underperforming.
In 2001, Ping Yi Primary merged with Fengshan Primary School.

The initials PY stand for the name of the school, Ping Yi.
The dark green and yellow are the school colours.
The colour red symbolises universal brotherhood.
The torch reflects the burning desire to acquire knowledge and skills.
The four lines indicate the four languages taught in the school.
The school motto, “Together We Strive”, reminds us of our commitment to persevere for progress and excellence in all aspects of school life.
