School History
Punggol Green Primary School (PGPS) was established in 2013 as a government co-educational school at 98 Punggol Walk to serve the Punggol West Community. The school was officially opened in 2015. That same year, the Ministry of Education Kindergarten @ Punggol Green was set up. The school is built under the new norms to support the Primary Education Review & Implementation (PERI) Committee’s recommendations to enhance primary school education.
With the fundamental belief that every child can succeed in life, PGPS goes beyond academic achievements. The school strives for holistic development of its students by equipping them with 21st Century skills and competencies and anchor them in sound values so that they will grow to be “Future-Ready Leaders with the Heart for Others” who thrive in a fast-changing world.

School Crest
The school crest embodies the school’s aspirations. The orange rising Sun symbolises the bright and vibrant future the students strive for. They are guided by the six rays of the Sun which represent the school’s six core values: respect, responsibility, resilience, integrity, care and harmony. The blue globe underscores the school’s mission to nurture students holistically, urging them to be innovative, forward-looking, and global in their outlook. The figurine reaching for the star serves as a reminder to students to set their targets high, persevere and excel in life. The colour green signifies the school’s desire to contribute to the betterment of the environment.
