School History

Selegie Primary School, formerly known as Selegie Integrated Primary School, was established in 1963. It was located off Short Street and started with an enrolment of 4000 students. Former Deputy Prime Minister Dr Toh Chin Chye.Between 1963 and 1971, the school building was Southeast Asia's tallest, standing ten storeys tall. Students and staff were transported up the building by two large cargo lifts. Each lift could support a class of up to 40 students. There were also two canteens on separate floors.

In 1987, Selegie Primary School merged with Stamford Primary School and moved to the latter’s school premises. Selegie Primary School’s building was leased to the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA) from 1990 to 1996. In 2015, Centurion Corporation acquired the building.
