School History

Siglap Indah Primary School, formerly known as Siglap Malay School, was established in 1903. The school was originally housed in a wooden structure at Kee Sun Avenue. Malay was the medium of instruction at Siglap Malay School.

In 1966, the school upgraded to a new concrete building at the same location.

In 1977, Siglap Malay School was converted to an English-medium school and renamed as Siglap Indah Primary School.

Siglap Indah Primary School closed in 1983 and since 1985, the school building has been used as MENDAKI (Council for the Development of Singapore Malay/Muslim Community)’s headquarters building.
